It’s been revealed that Derry and Strabane Council has currently only one engineer to fix and repair street lights.
The figures were revealed by the Department of Regional Development.
There are over 33,000 lights in the Derry and Strabane districts, with 55 needing fixed or repaired.
Foyle MLA Pat Ramsey, who received the figures from the Department, says his concern is that the situation could get worse approaching the winter:
