Weather halts All Ireland Gaeltachta Finals in Ardara

Monday’s finals of the All Ireland Comortas Peile Na Gaeltachta in Ardara were called off due to the stormy wet conditions that have battered the north west today.
There was huge disappointment for Downings, Oil Arainn, Noamh Conaill and defending champions Kilcar who were to contest the junior and senior deciders.
Officials made the call around 2pm deeming the pitch unplayable because of extreme surface water.
It’s the first time in the 45-year history of the Comortas Peile that the finals have been postponed.
