Strong turnout for referendums reported across Donegal

voteVoting continues in the same sex marriage and presidential age referendums.

As of 3pm, turnout across Donegal is said to be high compared to recent referenda.

Turnout in Buncrana urban boxes  stands at over 20% with a similar figure for Letterkenny - The average turnout in East Donegal is around 22%.

Rural boxes are said to be, on average,not to be far behind.

Polls will remain open until 10 o'clock tonight and counting will take place tomorrow.
