Four North West players in Ireland team to face UAE

Four North West players have been included in the Ireland team to take on the UAE in ICC InterContinental Cup next month.
Captain William Porterfield, Donemana’s Andrew McBrine, Eglinton’s Stuart Thompson and Bready’s Craig Young are named among the 14 man squad.
The four-day game takes place at Malahide from June 2-5 and it will be Head Coach John Bracewell’s first game in charge of Ireland.
The InterContinental Cup competition has added significance this time as the winners will play the bottom ranked full-member in a four Test Challenge.
Ireland have won the competition a record four times and are the current defending champions.
