Donegal Marathon to go bi-lingual in 2015

new marathon logo
The Steering Committee of the Donegal Marathon have just announced that they will be adopting a bi-lingual approach to this year’s event, and into the future.
Committee Chairman Dessie Larkin says this reflects the large Gaeltacht areas of the county, from where many of the participants will come.
A new bi-lingual logo has been adopted, and signage and literature will be in Irish as well as English.
The organisers have today published a number of phrases that could be used by spectators on the 24th of August, the day the marathon takes place –
Keep going! = Coinnigh ag dul!
You can do it! = Is féidir leat é a dhéanamh!
You’re nearly there! = Tá tú beagnach ann!
Well done! = Maith thú!
