Cockhill step closer to retaining USL title

Cockhill Celtic took another step towards retaining their Ulster Senior League title on Wednesday night.

Aidan O'Donnell scored seven minutes from time to force a 2-2 draw with Letterkenny Rovers at Leckview.

The games opening goal was an og in favour of Letterkenny, Mattie Henry levelled the tie in the 54th minute while just eight minutes later Paul Mc Veigh had restored Rovers advantage, only for O'Donnell to sqaured it late on.

Cockhill don't play on Sunday but can lift the title this weekend with a little bit of help from Swilly Rovers.

Donal O'Brien's side need Swilly to beat Derry City Res on Thursday night and then get at least a draw on Sunday against Letterkenny Rovers in Ramelton.
