McClean may be US bound

After Wigan Athletics relegation to League One there’s speculation about James McClean’s future with the club.
The Derry Journal are reporting the Irish international will not be going down with the team into League One but may be going across the Atlantic to play in the MLS in America.
Even though he was awarded “Player of the Year” by Wigan, McClean’s agents are believed to be in talks with a major league club. These rumours could be confirmed soon, as the US transfer window closes in the coming fortnight.
The USA isn’t the only option for McClean as Newcastle and newly promoted Premier League members Bournemouth are well aware of the former Derry City winger’s talent.
There are options for him in the Championship too, with teams like Wolves, Leeds and Nottingham Forest while in Scotland, Celtic could also be interested having failed to take McClean under their wing on loan in January.
