First Division leaders Finn Harps were held to a 1-all draw at Stradbrook after Cabinteely United scored an equaliser with virtually the last kick of the game.
Ruairi Keating put Harps in front on 13 minutes heading home a Kevin McHugh corner.
It was a game that Harps should have been further ahead with the likes of Gareth Harkin, Raymond Foy and Michael Funston all coming close.
Five minutes into injury time and with the last kick of the game John McKeown scored for Cabinteely FC and Stradbook erupted.
McKeown’s effort with the outside of his left boot looped across Harps keeper Ciaran Gallagher into the left top corner.
Finn Harps lead at the top of the table is now down to three points as second placed Wexford Youths were comfortable 4-1 winners over Waterford United in their South-East derby at the RSC.
The other game seen UCD beat their hosts Shelbourne by two goals to nil at Tolka Park.
In the SSE Airtricty Premier Division, Shamrock Rovers have climbed back up to second place.
The Hoops were 1-0 winners over Drogheda United after a scrappy battle at the Tallaght Stadium.
Michael Drennan’s 19th minute tap-in ultimately proved enough for the Hoops to claim all three points and move back above Cork City into second in the table.
Also in the top-flight, St Patricks’ Athletic beat their hosts, Galway United by four goals to one.
A brace from Conan Byrne as well as goals from Killian Brennan and Ciaran Kilduff helped the Saints to take all three points against a 10-man Galway side.
