A Donegal councillor is calling for a review of how council houses are allocated after being told that of the replies received so far from people offered houses in the Letterkenny Municipal District this year, more than half have turned them down.
Cllr John O’Donnell says cases where there are genuine reasons for turning down a house need to be looked at by the council.

Speaking on today’s Shaun Doherty Show, Cllr O’Donnell said the list needs to be reviewed and if necessary, the allocation process changed, to make sure that houses are being offered to people who want and need them……….
