A Donegal TD is calling for the appointment of full time mediator to the Donegal Family Mediation Office.
In a submission to Justice Minister Frances Fitzgerald, Deputy Padraig Mac Lohchlainn says that up to recently, there was no mediator in place. Now, a person is in place on a contract basis.
He says this is a vital service to couples on the verge of seperation, particularly where there are children involved.
Minister Fitzgerald says the waiting lists fluctuate, and the service is being kept under review.
Deputy Mac Lochlainn says a more permanent solution is needed…………
