Derry man charged with causing death by dangerous driving in court

A lorry driver has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving following a fatal crash in County Tyrone.
The two vehicle collision happened on the Melmount Road between Sion Mills and Victoria Bridge just after 10pm on Saturday night.
Albertas Daskevicius, from Ballykelly, County Derry, was charged over the death of Sean McIlwee on Saturday night.
He was also charged with causing death by driving whilst uninsured, no insurance and failing to have recording equipment fitted to his vehicle.
He appeared at Enniskillen Magistrates Court earlier today.
The court was told that 49-year-old Mr Daskevicius, admitted to police that he was at fault, causing the fatal collision.
There was no evidence the accused was speeding or using a mobile telephone when the collision took place.
Mr Daskevicius has been released on bail on the condition he does not drive and surrenders his passport and identity documents.
The lorry driver is due to appear at Strabane Magistrates’ Court on 14 May.
