Sligo Rovers hit out at fan abuse

Following a poor start to the season Sligo Rovers have condemned the abuse of some of the clubs players and Directors on social media.
The Reds says ” While all fans will have their opinions, and have the right to express those opinions, the aiming of personal abuse towards players can only have a negative impact on results.The team is having a difficult run at the moment and the disappointment at this is shared by everyone.”
Rovers are currently 10th in the league having lost three of their opening five matches.
