Update – Errigal College takes Letterkenny prize as thousands celebrate St Patrick’s Day

Thousands of people have been participating in St Patrick’s Day parades and events across the North West, with the good weather swelling the crowds.
The main Donegal parade was in Letterkenny, with Errigal College taking the overall prize.
The full results are as follows –

Best Band – Letterkenny Senior Accordion Band

Best Sport Entry – St. Eunan’s GAA

Best Youth Entry – Errigal College

Best Community Entry – Letterkenny CDP

Best Novelty Entry – Funky Monkey

Best Carnival Entry – Blue Ribbon Arts

Best Traditional Entry – Letterkenny Reunion

Best Business Entry – Millie Walker’s Pet Services

Overall Parade winner – Errigal College.

There were also parades in Derry, Omagh and other towns across the North West.
The main Derry parade was preceeded by a march by the Apprentice Boys No Surrender club, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary.
There was a police presence for the parade which began shortly after noon, but there were no incidents.
