Tyrone’s McCarron & Tierney doubtful for Cork clash

Tyrone could be without two key defenders for Sunday’s NFL Division One clash with Cork at Healy Park.
Cathal McCarron and Barry Tierney both picked up injuries in the latter stages of last Saturday’s clash with Dublin at Croke Park, and had to be replaced.
Both are rated as doubtful for the visit of the Rebels, with Tierney the least likely of the two to see action on his home town pitch this weekend.
McCarron felt a tweak in his hamstring and asked to be replaced in the 54th minute, but is hopeful he can be fit for the clash with the Munster men.
Having gone three games without defeat since a home reversal at the hands of Monaghan on the opening day of the season, Tyrone are climbing into the upper reaches of the Division One table, but Harte insisted that the focus remains on avoiding relegation.
“We’d still be on a mission of getting away from the relegation zone, until such times as something different appears on the horizon.”
