Donegal suffered their first defeat at home in the National Football League Division One when they lost to Monaghan by 2 points at O’Donnell Park, Letterkenny.
In a low scoring game the teams went in level 4 points a piece at half time but Monaghan proved the stronger in a dour second half where Donegal just scored a goal from play. Final Score Donegal 1-04 Monaghan 0-09.
