The Manager of Letterkenny General Hospital says he believes the agreement reached on Friday last regarding the way forward for breast cancer services is the right one.
Speaking on today’s Shaun Doherty Show, Sean Murphy says the appointment of another General Surgeon at the hospital will allow services continue and provide Consultant Breast Surgeon Michael Sugrue with the support and back up that he needs.
Mr Murphy says while he and Mr Sugrue both favoured the appointment of a second breast surgeon, it’s now clear this is not a realistic option……….
