Teenager from Co Donegal dies in crash in Co Derry

Police-in-Northern-Irelan-007A 13-year-old girl from Co Donegal has died following a crash on the Glenshane Road in Derry.

The accident, involving two vehicles, happened shortly after 5pm yesterday evening.

The child was from Clar in the Redcastle area. Her name has not yet been released.

The girl’s older sister has been transferred to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast where she is in a critical condition.

The road has now reopened after being closed at its junction with the Tamnaherin Road and Tirbracken Road.
