Police in Derry Appeal for Information following Armed Robbery

Detectives in Derry are investigating an armed robbery at a shop in the Park Avenue area yesterday evening.
Police received a report that two males, one armed with a knife, entered the shop at around 9.30pm and threatened a female staff member.
A small sum of cash was handed over and the males left the shop on foot. Both males were reported to have had their faces covered with blue plastic bags and one wore a burgundy coloured coat whilst the other wore a black coloured top. The staff member was unhurt but left badly shaken following the robbery.
Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information to contact CID at Strand Road on 101. Information can also be passed anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
