Call for government action as 32 people await admission at LGH

The overcrowding crisis continues at Letterkenny General Hospital, with one of the highest ever numbers of people awaiting admission registered by the INMO this morning.
There were a total of 32 people awaiting admission, 18 of them on trollies in the emergency department and
14 on wards.
Cllr Gerry Mc Monagle is Chairs of the Donegal group on the HSE West Regional Forum. He says the government needs to follow through on promises to improve bed capacity in community hospitals, and provide more services to people outside of the acute hospital setting…………
