Met Eireann says snow will ease today, but strong winds are waiting in the wings

Road users are being urged to take extra care this morning with weather warnings in place again today.
Met Éireann has issued two status ‘orange’ warnings for Donegal, one relating to snow this morning and the other warning of heavy wind to come.
Driving conditions are treacherous right across the North West this morning, particularly on secondary and untreated roads. AA Roadwatch is also warning of treacherous conditions on the National Primary Routes around Barnesmore Gap, Ballyshannon and Letterkenny.
The wintry showers will ease this morning, and David Rogers of Met Eireann, says strong winds and rain will sweep across the country today……….
