The head of the Garda Traffic Corps in Donegal says there was one less life lost on the county’s roads in 2014 compared to the previous year, but with more care on the part of road users, that can be reduced further.
Inspector Michael Harrison says there’s been a worrying increase in the number of people not wearing seat belts being killed on the road, and is also stressing the need to keep speed down and avoid drinking and driving.
He is also urging people to be aware of the risk of distraction, and to concentrate on the road at all times…..
