Mc Bride wins New Years Day 5k in Raphoe

Jack McBride of Finn Valley AC was the first person home in yesterday’s 5k fun run and walk held in Raphoe.
Jack’s time was 16 mins 45 seconds.
Brian McNamee was second in 17.55; Kieran McElhinney of Raphoe Road Runners was third in 18.01
Penelope McCrabbe of Raphoe Road Runners was first female athlete in 20.27; Noreen Bonner of Finn Valley was second female in 21. 24.
The race drew a great turn-out – and there was a 5k race in Drumoghill as well yesterday and that also attracted a good crowd
