Patterson & McEleney placed on transfer list

Derry City’s failure to qualify for next season’s Europa League looks to be having its first impact on the playing front at the Brandywell
Two first team players – striker Rory Patterson and defender Shane mcEleney have been placed on the transfer list because of budget restrictions
The two players could also go out on loan once the January transfer window opens with City boss, Peter Hutton telling this morning’s Derry Journal that the move follows the implementation of a reduced budget for the 2015 campaign.
A fall in attendances at the Brandywell hasn’t helped City’s cause either and Hutton said the club has to cut its cloth accordingly – therefore cutbacks within the first team squad are now necessary.
