Awards for Tyrone volunteers

tyrone gaaLong-serving GAA volunteers in Tyrone are to receive special awards, thanks to a new initiative by new county chairperson Roisin Jordan
Jordan, the first ever female leader of a county board in Association’s 130-year history, is to introduce a scheme similar to that operated by the pioneer Association, whereby members will be honoured with bronze, silver and gold pins.
The chairperson says she hopes in her term to recognise the volunteers – without whom clubs could not survive. People can give many things, – she says – but it is the gift of time that is the most precious of all.
Jordan also plans to provide enhanced support for the training of the club officials.
