Dail told there is confusion in Donegal about water charges

Donegal North East Deputy Charlie Mc Conalogue has told the Dail that after imposing austerity on the poor, the government is now using the economic improvement to give more concessions to the better off in the hope of buying votes in the next election.
Speaking during a debate on the Finance Bill, Deputy Mc Conalogue said there’s an incoherence and irrationality to the government’s current policy, with no-one knowing what is happening.
He says this is particularly evident in the case of small businesses and farmers who pay water rates to Donegal County Council, but receive a domestic allowance.
He says it’s also the case with group water schemes……….
