Ballinderry to appeal heavy Ulster sanctions

gaaBallinderry say they will appeal the heavy sanctions which were handed down by Derry’s CCC this week after the events which marred the end of their controversial Derry SFC final loss to Slaughtneil.
Players Aaron Devlin, Michael Conlan and Gareth McKinless received one-year suspensions while  the club will not be allowed to play home games for a year.
Collie Devlin and James Conway have received one-match championship bans.
There were unsavoury scenes after the game as Ballinderry players and supporters vented their disgust at the referee’s decision to award an injury time goal which halted their charge for four DSFC titles in a row.
