McIlroy taking a short break from golf to concentrate on legal battle

Rory McIlroyRory McIlroy has announced that he’s taking a short break from golf in order to prepare for his upcoming legal battle with his former management company.
The Commercial Court heard today that mediation talks have failed to find a solution to contractual dispute between the world’s top golfer and the Dublin-based Horizon Sports management company.
McIlroy now says that he’ll miss the BMW Masters and the HSBC Champions to prepare for the lawsuit.
The world number one says his next tournament will now be the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai from the 20th to the 23rd of November.
McIlroy is suing Horizon and two other companies – saying that an agreement he signed three years ago is invalid and unenforceable on a number of grounds.
