Test results expected to show that Churchill/Glenswilly water not safe to drink

water1The results of independent tests on the Glenswilly/Churchill water supply will be revealed at a public meeting tonight and are expected to show it is not safe to drink.

Frustrated residents and businesses say they are fed up with the discoloured nature of their water, and many have concerns about whether it is safe to drink.

Following a meeting on the issue, a cross party group of six local councillors offered to pay the bill for an independent laboratory to carry out tests on water in the Churchill and Glenswilly area.

Those results are now in.
