Man charged in relation to criminal damage at Convoy Orange Hall

A 32-year-old man has been charged with the double arson attack on an Orange hall and a Presbyterian Church in Convoy last week.
Damien Murray of 26 Admiran Park, Stranorlar  appeared at Letterkenny Court charged with two counts of criminal damage in Convoy last Friday morning.
Garda Stephen Moyles told the court that Murray was arrested at Admiran Park on Monday evening.
He was charged at 00.15am on Wednesday at Letterkenny Garda Station and made no reply when charged.
The damage to the two buildings is estimated at €250,000.
Murray was remanded to appear at Harristown District Court on Friday.
An application for legal aid was granted.
A second man arrested as part of the same investigation has been remanded to Harristown District Court on Friday on a separate criminal damage charge and motoring offences.
