Australia want rules game in New York

Michael Murphy RulesThe International rules series could be on it's way to New York in 2015.

The Star reports this morning that AFL are keen to move the event so they can expand their game and brand.

No discussions have taken place with the GAA about the potential move but it is believed they could be open to a move.

Donegal's Michael Murphy captained Ireland to victory in last years series.

Murphy along with fellow Donegal players - Neil Mc Gee and Patrick Mc Brearty have committed to this years game but haven't trained due to the All Ireland Final and club championship.

This years game will be played at Perth's Patersons Stadium in Australia on Saturday 22nd November.
