James Corden has been confirmed as the new host of 'The Late Late Show' in the US.

The 'Gavin and Stacey' star is believed to have signed a $5m-a-year contract to replace Craig Ferguson on the late night US talk show at the beginning of 2015.

The 36-year-old comedian will replace the 52-year-old star following his 10-year stint on the popular CBS programme and described it has an "honour" to be taking over the show.

Corden, his wife Julia and their three-year-old son Max, are already preparing to set up camp across the pond and have started viewing potential homes ahead of the move next year.
