Championship title for St Johnston Cricketers

CricketSt Johnston won the North West Cricket Championship for the second time on Saturday.
Donegal’s only cricket club had to beat Bonds Glen and hope other results went their way.
Captained by Ian McBeth, St Johnston beat the Glen men by a comfortable 5 wickets to take another set of full points.
Burndennett needed to win their final game to take the title at Drummond but ended losing by a massive 7 wickets while Glendermott won at Creevedonnell by 39 runs.
St Johnston and Glendermott finished on 22 points but the title would go to the Donegal club on their head to head results which St Johnston won.
It’s St Johnston’s second title in in five years. The last time the played in the top flight was in 2010.
Glendermott go into the play off.
