Derry welcome Pats with McEleney & Patterson doubtful

Derry City welcome the champions St Patrick’s Athletic to the Brandywell later this evening with an ever growing  injury list.
Patrick Mc Eleney is seen as extremely doubtful after missing training this week because of a virus.
Striker Rory Patterson is still troubled by a back injury and is likely to be ruled out – joining the likes of Danny Ventre and Cliff Byrne who will not be available for a number of weeks due to knee surgery and a medial ligament problem.
The Dubliners need to win to keep alive their very slim hopes in the title race while Derry got back to winning ways last Monday at Limerick after losing three league games on the bounce.
