Six youth cyclists have been taken to Letterkenny General Hospital following a pile up on the opening day of the third annual Errigal Youth International Tour.
None of the injuries are thought to be serious and range from possible broken collar bones to bruising.
The event, which takes place in Donegal, is aimed at children under the age of 16 with around 200 participants taking part.
Adverse weather conditions have been blamed for making the course difficult for cyclists to navigate.
The event will reach and end in Letterkenny on Monday.
