Golden Day for Northern fighters in Glasgow

Paddy Barnes has secured back-to-back wins in the light flyweight division, beating India’s Devendro Laishram on a unanimous decision at Glasgow’s S-E-C-C.
Gold too for Barnes’ room-mate, Michael Conlan.
The St. John Bosco figher beat England’s Qais Ashfaq (pron: Kye-eese Ash-fak) in the bantamweight final.
Belfast middleweight Joe Fitzpatrick has claimed silver, beaten today by home favourite Charlie Flynn
Earlier, Michaela Walsh also had to settle for silver.
The Holy Family flyweight was beaten on a controversial split decision by Olympic champion Nicola Adams.
