Police in Strabane have refuted claims that a family in the Ballycolman have been victims of a “campaign of harassment”.
The McElwee family allege that they cannot leave their homes without the police stopping them and searching their cars.
And they also claim that their homes have been searched on a number of occasions.
The mother, Annie McElwee claims the PSNI are misusing their stop and search powers against her children and wider family circle……..
Meanwhile, police have said that if any member of the family does feel police are acting unfairly towards them, they should contact the Police Ombudsman’s Office.
