Gerrard hangs up the international boots

Steven Gerrard’s retired from international football after winning 114 caps for England.
He says it was a difficult decision, but one he’d been thinking about even before England’s early World Cup exit in Brazil.
The Liverpool midfielder says it will help him cope with the demands of Premier League and Champions League football at the age of 34.
England manager Roy Hodgson says he’s disappointed to see Steven Gerrard quit international football, although he has no complaints about the decision.
