English & Boyce confirmed on Irish Team for Zurich

As expected Mark English and Brendan Boyce are among a large team of thirty which has been named for next month’s European Athletics Championships in Zurich.
The team was announced earlier today of the back of the National Track and Field Championships yesterday where English won the 800ms in a time of 1.49.91.
Boyce will tackle the 50k walk in Switzerland
Finn Valley’s Tori Pena won silver at Santry and Sarah Collins have opted out of going to the European’s.
Speaking at today’s Irish team announcement, Mark English is hoping to make an impact at the Championships…..
Also at the National’s, Dempsey McGuigan won silver in the hammer, Ann Marie McGlynn took home a bronze in the 5k and John Kelly won Bronze in the Shot Putt.
