Derry City face tougher European test

Derry City Logo newDerry City go into the first leg of their Europa League qualifier against Shakhtyor Soligorsk at the Brandywell tonight (Thursday) knowing that this will  be a much sterner test that their foray into European football last week.

City thumped Welsh side Abersystwyth 9-0 on aggregate last week.

But tonight’s game will be a real step in class against the team from Belarus.

City, though, are on a seven-game unbeaten run.

Dean Jarvis is ruled out with a foot injury, while Michael Duffy is doubtful with a hamstring strain.
Recent signing Stephen Dooley is available while Cliff Byrne and Ryan McBride return for the Candystripes after serving suspensions.
Kick-off at the Brandywell is 7.45 pm
