Jason Quigley wins pro boxing debut with a 1st round stoppage

quig2Jason Quigley has made the perfect start to his professional boxing career with a first round stoppage of American Howard Reece.
The Ballybofey boxer needed just 1 minute 22 seconds of the first round to see off his opponent. Reece went into the fight having lost six of his eight professional fights.
23 year-old Quigley made his debut on Saturday night at the legendary MGM Grand on the under-card of the much anticipated clash between Canelo Alvarez and Erislandy Lara.
Speaking ahead of the fight, Oscar Dela Hoya of Golden Boy Promotions said  “There is a fighter you really want to watch in his progression. He is explosive, fast and experienced, We are extremely excited to be showcasing a decorated amateur in his professional debut in Jason Quigley”.
Jason justified legendary Dela Hoya’s faith in him with an impressive, albeit not surprising win.
