‘Miracle’ as Oisin Merritt is able to talk football with his family

oisinmerritThe condition of a young Donegal man who was seriously injured in a fall while on holiday in Spain has improved.
19 year-old Oisin Merritt had been in a coma since he fell from a balcony while on holiday with friends in Santa Ponsa on June 9th.
At one point close family members described his condition as grave.
But in a happy turn of events, Oisin’s sister has confirmed that the Finn Harps Reserves player ‘s condition is improving.
She said “Oisin started to eat and drink water for the first time yesterday afternoon and has continued this today. Today Oisin started to speak and say his first words to me.. He is asking about the World Cup and how Brazil are doing, as he has a bet on!..and is looking for a TV in his room!
He has a long recovery ahead. Doctors came in this afternoon to us and said he is like a second birth, born again that he is like a miracle. Thank you everyone so much for your prayers and good wishes”
