English helps Ireland to best ever European team result

Mark English 0906Mark English helped Ireland to their best ever result at the European Team Championships in Estonia on Sunday.
The Letterkenny man won the 800mts in a time 1.47.63 almost one second ahead of the second placed runner.
Ireland finished 7th out of 12 countries.
Liffords Ann Marie McGlynn finished 4th in the 3k on her Irish debut in Tallinn.
Finn Valley’s Tori Pena was 4th in the Pole Vault and her clubmate Dempsey McGuigan was 8th in the hammer on his first senior outing with Ireland.
