Derry’s championship is over after shock Longford defeat

derry 200614There has been a huge shock in Round 1A of the All-Ireland Football qualifiers this evening.
Derry are out of the All-Ireland Football Championship, after they lost to Longford at Celtic Park this evening.
A Paul Barden goal for Longford in the first half was the turning point in the game, as they ran out winners by 2-16 to 2-14.
It’s been a difficult summer for Brian McIver’s Derry who also lost at the first hurdle in the Ulster Championship to Donegal.
