A cash reward has been offered after vandals caused thousands of euros of damage to the new Carndonagh boxing club house. It is believed that the incident took place between 7pm and 9pm on Sunday night, and the boxing club have issued an appeal for information with a cash reward. The two front doors have been badly damaged and the windows and window frames are damaged so badly that they are beyond repair. John Mulhern, committee member of Carndonagh boxing club said: “someone has to take a stand and offer a reward for information because it is going to keep happening in the area. The whole thing is a mess, a complete disaster. It is hard to believe that there are people about that would do this.”
The club have fund raised for over ten years to fund the new €200,000 building in the Barrack Hill area of Carndonagh. Chairman John joined the Shaun Doherty Show to encourage anyone with information to come forward either directly or anonymously. He can be contacted on 00353 860665879.
