Mark English heads stateside for latest 800m battle

Mark English has  crossed the Atlantic this week to run in Saturday night’s Diamond League meet in New York, USA.
The UCD student who is building towards the European Championships in Zurich in August will be on the track for the third weekend in a row.
Mark will again be in good company with the likes of 2012 Olympic gold medalist from Kenya David Rudisha also on the start list.
English finished fifth last weekend at the FBK Games in Hengelo running a season’s best of 1.46.22, which was inside the qualifying mark for the European’s.
The Irish 800m record holder had won the previous Saturday at the IFAM Meet in Belgium.
