Councillor says tourism potential of Errigal and Dunlewey is not being realised

A newly elected councillor in Donegal says the tourist potential of Errigal and Dunlewey is not being realised, and addressing that must be a priority.

Independent Councillor Michael Colm Mc Giolla Easpaig says he will be looking to the Council to draw up and implement a plan for the area.

He says while that area provides some of the most scenic views visitors will ever come across, the viewing area over the Poisoned Glen is used as storage space for tar and stones by the Council, and there is a serious lack of signage, particularly at the base of Mount Errigal.

Cllr Mc Giolla Easpaig says what should be one of the jewels in the crown for tourism in our county is sadly neglected and at times difficult to access.................
