Opposition grows to proposed drug clinic in Falcarragh

A protest and petition signing will take place at the Crossroads in Falcarragh this afternoon as opposition grows to the proposed location of an addiction clinic at Ballyconnell House.

The protest at 2 o'clock is being organised by local people who claim the proposed clinic may lead to restricted public access to Ballyconnell House and its grounds, and also compromise Udaras na Gaeltachta's job-creation budget for west Donegal.

It's understood the proposed clinic is the subject of advanced negotiations between Udaras and church-run organization, Cuan Mhuire.

Sean Hillen is a spokesperson for the protestors - he says they're unhappy at the level of consultation, and believ this is wrong direction for Falcarragh.........
