Cllr-John-CampbellThe race to represent Donegal Town on Donegal County Council is heating up with three candidates making their pitch for votes.

Indpendent Council John Campbell has hit out at candidated Jonathon Kennedy and Michael Naughton claiming they have no right to claim a seat as their own.

At his campaign launch, Fianna Fail's Micheal Naughten vowed to recapture the late Peter Kennedy’s seat telling supporters that if they work together as a Fianna Fail Family he would deliver an extra seat for the Donegal Town electoral area.

Jonathon Kennedy, the late Peter Kennedy son has now thrown his hat into the ring - He's on ther record stating that if anybody is going to win his late father’s seat for Donegal Town it would be one of his own family.

Enter Independent Councillor John Campbell - he has hit out at the pair. He says No-one has an entitlement to serve the people of the Donegal Electoral Area and no-one owns that seat.

Making his own pitch for the seat, Councillor Campbell said he people of the Donegal Electoral Area deserve representation that puts them first.
