Harley to miss most of the flat season

martin harleyDonegal Jockey Martin Harley will miss most of this years flat racing season after suffering a broken bone in his neck at Lingfield on Wednesday.
Harley was fired into the ground in the closing stages of the second race when his mount Red Art suffered a fatal fall.
The incident was so severe that racing was held up for nearly two hours.
Harley who is now set to miss a number of months of the track was due to ride Mount Athos in the Dubai Sheema Classic, one of the world’s most valuable turf events at Meydan in Dubai on Saturday week.
