Update – Men arrested in relation to Derry hate crimes released unconditionally

Two men aged 40 and 32, arrested in relation to pipe bomb attacks in the Waterside area of Derry in the early hours of Saturday morning have been released unconditionally.
The men were arrested yesterday morning, and their release has been confirmed this morning by the PSNI.

Two Romanian families were targetted in two houses in the Waterside area in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Four adults and a child in a house in Lapwing Way escaped injury, while four adults escaped injury in Lincoln Court.

The attacks are being treated as hate crimes.
